Book Week Costumes

From tomorrow until Friday 28th August book week celebrates its 70th anniversary. The theme this year is “Books Light up Our World”.
Today the note came home from school for the book week parade on next week. So I thought I’d do another post on book week costume ideas. I did one in 2013 with some great ideas you can find by clicking here – “Easy Book Week Costume Ideas”.
It’s a paper plate! This would be an easy costume to throw together the night before, just wear green clothes and you have your own Hungry Little Caterpillar.
This is such a sweet little costume, I think this is the choice for my Kindergarten son this year!
Another super easy costume – Little Red Riding Hood!
Technically there are books on Minecraft so here are instructions on how to make a Steve minecraft costume for under $10.
I had to include this costume of Willy Wonka from one of my favourite books of all time!
This costume looks amazing but would also require a little more effort!

Oh gosh this Stick Man costume is so cute!
My 9 year old wants to go as Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Luckily there are quite a few costume ideas on the internet and it looks pretty easy!
There are also hundreds of ideas on Pinterest if you need some more inspiration!
