The AMAZING Pilanky!

By

This article was posted back in November as part of our photo competition, I am re-posting because we here at Coffs for Kids thinks this is such an amazing product and brilliant for pre school or day care. A great item to start the new year!

Happy Jo Designs, created in Bellingen and produced in Port Macquarie, hand-makes four gorgeous products: a nappy change bag (which comes complete with nappy-bag essentials included), an Ozzie Mozzie net (which comes in rainbow colours – just gorgeous!), the rainbow feeding pillow and the truly ingenuus Pilanky.

I wish I knew about the Pilanky when my son started preschool where you have to provide a sleep bag. This has to include: a top sheet, and bottom fitted sheet, a blanket and pillow  – everything has to be labelled and despite this, there have been instances where sheets have been lost.

Jo calls the Pilanky their ‘hero product’ and it really is. The Pilanky is an all-in-one portable bed for kids aged 1-7 years. Ideal for pre school, day care, sleepovers and travelling.

So, what is the Pilanky? It has a padded mattress with a pillow and sheet attached. There is a blanket included that is buttoned on, so it is easy to remove in the summer months. All of this rolls up neatly into a bag which has the child’s name on it. AND it is totally machine washable.

It gets better! The Pilanky has so many options for colours and styles of fabric: choices for the outside mattress, the inside mattress, the sheet, the blanket and even the trim! There are gorgeous fabrics, from frogs and cars, rainbows, to plain bright colours.

The Pilanky is made mostly from 100% cotton with the plain fabric $65 and in patterned fabric $80.

Happy Jo Designs is at the Bellingen Markets which is held the 3rd Saturday of every month, otherwise visit the online store www.happyjodesigns.com.au.
