Great weather for a picnic
By*Thank you* to Tanya Hart our newest guest-writer for Coffs for Kids. Here is her first post!
In our family we love going off for a picnic and so wanted to share some of our favourite picnic nibbles. Vegemite scrolls are loved by toddlers everywhere but parents can be afraid to make them as making bread usually involves waiting for yeast to rise, not anymore!
Check out the easy cheats recipe here: http://www.tootle.com.au/recipes.html
Another easy snack which my boys love are hotdogs and here is a quick and easy method for when you are out and about: fill a thermos with cheerios or frankfurters and then add boiling water (ensure the lid is done up tightly). When needed just drain the water and there you have it, hot sausages ready to go in the rolls.
With so many lovely beaches and parks in the area the only tough decision is where to go today!!
Some of our favourites are:
Boambee Creek Reserve
Moonee Beach
Red Rock
Bongil Bongil National Park
Enjoy the sunshine!
