Japanese Festival of Children’s Day

We spent the morning down at the Botanic Gardens on a totally glorious day here in Coffs Harbour…

I love the Japanese Festival of Children held on the first Sunday in May every year. This year it was very busy and there was heaps to do for the kids: story-telling, face-painting, making kites, drumming, games, competitions, calligraphy, yummy food and my boys even got to sit in the back of a police car!
