Kids craft: Reindeer gift for Christmas
ByHere is a really quick and easy little craft activity for your kids – make a chocolate or lolly Reindeer holder for someone for Christmas. A great idea for next door neighbours, teachers, aunts or uncles, anyone really! You can fill with lollies, chocolates or nuts of your choice.
(We made the larger size which was a perfect shape for 5 year-old hand sized antlers, and fitted a box of 300g Favourites chocolates perfectly (with 3 or 4 leftover!)
What you need:
Terracotta pots (we used medium-sized from Bunnings for $1.24 each)
Brown cardboard paper + yellow or different brown for the ears
Googly eyes ($2 for a big packet from cheap shop next to Jack Simmons menswear)
Sparkly or plain red pom poms for nose ($2 for mixed colour packet from cheap shop)
Glue (PVA or craft glue is best)
Chocolates (300g of Cadbury ‘Favourites’ on special at Target $6.50)
1. Trace childs hand to make reindeer antlers & cut out
2. Cut out rough shape to make ears and stick on antlers
3. Glue the bottom edge onto the back of the terracotta pot (hold with pegs if you need to)
4. Glue on eyes and nose
5. Let dry and fill with lollies, chocolate or nuts.
A cute and personalised little way to give a gift that will certainly be enjoyed!
