Time for a clean-out!
ByOk I am giving you plenty of notice so you can’t make any excuses… two events are coming up early April that can:
a) encourage you to clean out some unwanted items b) make you a little bit of cashola c) help a good cause.
So, first is the Baby and Children’s Goods Market on Saturday the 2nd April at the Cavanbah Hall. Tables are $30 (this includes a trestle table and chair and insurance) so you can get a table yourself, or grab a friend and clean out all your pre-loved children’s clothes, books, toys, baby items and whatever else you can find. It will be a fun morning to be able to chat to local Mum’s and grab yourself some bargains.
The markets are to raise funds for Pregnancy Care which is the local branch for Pregnancy Support Australia. To find out more information or to book a table contact Lynn on 6658 1040. All the money you make off your table you get to keep!
The second event is the 13th annual Rotary Bookfest on from Saturday 9th April until 16th April. This is held in the exhibition building at the Coffs Harbour showground. If you have ever been you will know how HUGE this event is, with thousands and thousands of books. Last year I went and scored some excellent Dr Suess and an amazing giant dinosaur book. Rotary are accepting donations now, so go through your bookshelves and your kids bookshelves and gather books that are no longer read and donate them to Rotary.
You can contact Jim on 0413 900 138 to arrange for a pickup or dropoff.
So there you go, two perfect excuses to do some serious de-cluttering! And if your kids complain you are getting rid of their “stuff” tell them you need to make way for new toys… that always works for my kids – well so far it does!
