Websites for Kids – Part II

By

A couple weeks ago we posted Part I of some fantastic websites we have found that are like Coffs for Kids in different parts of Australia. This is Part II – if you missed Part I you can find it here.

www.noosakids.com  began when its creator, Marina Hutchison, discovered visiting families were missing out on many fun places to go with the kids (especially when it was raining). So Noosa Kids was created to share local knowledge with everyone.

With a recent revamp for the Xmas holidays, Noosa Kids offer readers a special insight into the region, outlining all the great playgrounds and picnic spots (with age recommendations) and a calendar of events filled with shows and programs for kids in the area.

If you are planning a night out, Marina’s babysitting contacts are listed and parents can be assured that carers have been screened. If you are looking for somewhere to take the kids with you, maybe kids entertainment or a playroom, you will find a list of them close to Noosa.

www.brisbanekids.com.au is the leading kids website operating solely for the Brisbane region. Using local knowledge and contacts they provide up to date information on events, activities and things to do. They offer the most comprehensive list of playgrounds across Brisbane with over 50 reviewed and photographed. There is also business directory, becoming the ‘go to’ place for parents seeking information on classes, services, ideas for around the home and even child friendly recipes. They also feature a rapidly growing Facebook fanbase of over 10,000 Brisbane families and use social media to keep Brisbane parents in the know on a daily basis.

The website is owned and run by mother of 2, Ngaire Stirling whose vision is to provide a local site that parents can use to make the most of Brisbane and their kids.

www.townsvillekids.com.au  was born approximately one year ago by two local Townsville Mums.  The idea came about while they sitting with their weekly playgroup discussing what they were going to do the next week.  They thought it would be a great idea to have a free community information website, focusing on family friendly activities, venues and services.  Basically a one stop information hub of all things kids!  That idea grew into our now fully functioning site Townsville Kids. The website is made up of the following elements:  business directory, events calendar, parks, kids craft/recipe swap, business advertising, competitions, comments/forum page and membership.

If you are travelling with your kids over the next school holidays make sure you have a look at these websites and a few others:
