Woolgoolga Curryfest on this Saturday!
By
Soooo excited! The Woolgoolga Curryfest is back this weekend, Saturday 26th April.
Such a great family day out with lots of entertainment, market stalls, activities for the kids and not to mention AMAZING food!
Curryfest entrance this year costs $3 per adult or $5 for a couple or family …in other words, kids are free.
Here is a quick rundown of the main features, there is also entertainment on two stages throughout the day – you can find out more on the Woolgoolga Curryfest website. Don’t forget to stay updated with the latest happenings on their Facebook page as well.
Kids Zone
This year there is a special kids zone on 26 April with jumping castles (separate ones for the under fives so they don’t get knocked over by bigger kids), a petting zoo, ‘Chair o planes’ ride, Children’s Tea Cup ride, a Clown Van, a Giant Slide and a trackless train that winds through the festival. There are balloons and face painting and Sand Wizard will be there. For the kids who don’t eat curry, not even the popular butter chicken, there is pizza, Mexican food, pancakes and lots of other food stalls. There are lots of ice cream vans and lolly stalls and heaps of entertainment on two separate stages.
Food and Market Stalls
Lots of Indian curry stalls plus curry from Ethiopia, Morocco, Africa. There’s also lots of other food including Mexican, Mediterranean, pizza and yummy Greek pastries. There are ice cream stalls, pancakes or chocolates and lollies for those with a sweet tooth and spice shops and native food products for those who want to buy ingredients or chutneys to serve up their own curry creations in the future. If you get thirsty shopping there is coffee, tea, fruit juices and ginger beer available. Lots of exciting market stalls too with clothing, footware, gifts, toys, woodcraft, pottery and plants.
See you there!
